Denali National Park

Monday May 30
Today we took an 8-hour wilderness tour through Denali National Park (formerly Mt. McKinley). We saw a bear, 6 moose, several caribou, and many mountain sheep. We could see them from a distance, but they were too far to take any good pictures. Very cool to see.

Seward to Denali

Sunday May 29

Yesterday was a day at sea as the ship cruised from Glacier Bay to Seward where the cruise ends. After disembarking the ship this morning we took a motor coach for 10 hours to Denali (Mt. McKinley) National Park, stopping at the Alaska Veterans Monument. Sunset is 11:30 pm and sunrise 4:00 am.

Our ship arrived in Skagway today. Skagway is located at the northern end of the Inside Passage, with a population of only 800. We are at 59 degrees latitude. Sunrise is at 4 am and sunset at 10 pm.
